About Dislies

D-BEAT RAW FӦRLӦRARNA

     Dislies is an Indonesian fucking dis-crust band formed in early 2013. Their sound was heavily, harsh, and noise influenced by crust punk, death metal, and d-beat. The band members originally come from different punk bands, bonding over common interest in d-beat. Initially the group was a side project of three members.

     We were born differently with various background, united by a destruction conflict of the past which became nightmare and still continued until now with definite resource in term of bouyantly, harsh, full of anger noise music and lyrics. We officially agreed to use “Dislies” as the name of the band. Unlike most of the names which is used by d-beat, crust punk, or even hardcore punk bands, “Dis” was taken from Swedish and its has meaning “brume” in French and it means “mist” in English, and “Lies” also from English, thus “Dislies” means the mist of lies. It is related to the situation of nowadays which everything was covered by endless lies.

     Dislies live in Jogja, but most of the members weren’t the native of Yogyakarta, they are from another cities but live in jogja temporarily. For more information, you can contact us in disliespunk@gmail.com and take a look our website on  disliespunk.blogspot.com.
